It was only a matter of time, but Delaney is a walker as of 9/10/15! Why haven’t you heard of any other milestones like pulling herself up or crawling or even rolling, you ask? Well, none of those have happened. But, Delaney girl is cruising on the walking front.
For the past couple of months, Delaney has been walking with a our support for the majority of her days. We are probably pushovers because of this, because she essentially bosses us around and makes us take her around the apartment to only the most dangerous and non baby-friendly areas. That said, she’s so strong and oh so much happier when she’s walking that it’s been a cop out for me on the parenting front to simply walk her around with me when I’m doing stuff around the house.
The other day, Jordan and I were passing her off from one of our hands to the other and we just decided to let her go and see what would happen. Sure enough, she took not just one or two steps, she walked *with speed* close to 6-7 steps. She was so proud of herself and is thrilled to get even more energy out.
She’s starting to turn corners and confidently grasp objects but still struggles to let go of an object to walk. She’s only really comfortable holding one of our hands and letting go…strange.
